Job Title: IT Analyst
Location: Lansing, MI
Pay Rate: up to $35/hr
Duration: 4+ Months
Job Summary/Objective:
Team member of the Information Technology (IT) department at a Manufacturing Plant in the Automotive industry. Provide services and support to Plant Operations maximizing availability, performance and efficiency. Focus on cost effective solutions with a continuous improvement mindset.
Roles & Responsibilities:
IT Management
· Consult with plant management on continuous improvement ideas and fulfill requests.
· Key team member of projects to deliver new initiatives and/or service improvements.
· Assist with problem management resolution and permanent corrective actions.
· Interface with internal and external Customers.
· Support IT tasks related to launches and communicating updates at readiness reviews.
· Other duties as assigned by management (can be modified for local requirements)
IT Infrastructure & Applications: Responsible for the daily operations of computer systems including but not limited to the following:
- Perform Level 1, incident management, support for hardware, communications, networking, software and shop-floor systems ran at the manufacturing facility. Escalate to next level support teams if applicable.
- Monitor, event management and administration of local IT Infrastructure.
- Adhering to the processes and standards of the company.
- Provide access to IT services while complying with Security and Vulnerability standards.
- Ensure system backups are current and can be restored.
- Schedule and coordinate hardware and infrastructure installation with Corporate and 3rd party suppliers.
- Contribute to managing Key and Operational Metrics
- Maintain documentation of IT Services, Equipment and Procedures (additions for local requirements)
Required Skills:
Experience & Skills - Minimum Required:
· 2+ years IT related experience.
· Communication, analytical, project management and problem-solving skills.
· Support multiple work streams.
· Desire to have broad responsibilities and work in fast paced environment.
· Windows administrative knowledge (Servers and PCs)
· Experience with Networking Infrastructure and Architecture

Required Education:
Education & Training :
Required: Bachelors’ Degree in IT or Associates/Technical Degree in IT related field of study and 2+ years of experience.

· Experience in a manufacturing environment, ideally automotive industry.
· Manufacturing Execution System (MES) experience.
· Basic database knowledge and report writing skills.
Desired Education:
Desired: Technical Certifications / Continuous Improvement training.
