Job Title: Windows Engineer

Duration: 6 months contract

Location: Onsite - New York, NY, USA


Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain Windows servers and workstations, ensuring their optimal performance and security.
  • Install, configure, and update Windows operating systems and applications.
  • Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions to ensure system reliability and availability.
  • Administer and support Smarsh archiving and compliance solutions.
  • Ensure the integrity and security of archived data.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Smarsh integration and functionality.
  • Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts to automate administrative tasks and improve efficiency.
  • Create and manage scripts for system monitoring, reporting, and maintenance.
  • Ensure scripts are well-documented and adhere to best practices.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Relevant certifications (e.g., MCSE, MCSA) are a plus.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Windows system administration and engineering.
  • Proficiency in PowerShell scripting and automation.
  • Extensive experience with Microsoft Exchange administration.
  • Strong knowledge of Active Directory management and Group Policy.
  • Experience with Smarsh archiving and compliance solutions.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong understanding of security best practices and compliance requirements.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
