Network Engineer III

JOB DESCRIPTION

Insight Global is looking for an OSP Network Engineer for a large telecommunications client in Englewood, CO. This engineer will be joining the OSP testing team that preforms the evaluation planning, design and engineering of OSP lab equipment. On a day to day basis responsibilities will include assisting in the development of documentation and technical standards, testing of projects/systems relating to CATV planning configuration and optimization. This engineer should be able and willing to work in a lab environment as well as be adaptable to a fast paced environment and passion to learn new technologies. This position is 4 days per week on site with option for 1 day remote work from home. Estimated pay range for this position is between 40-50/hr depending on years of experience.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• Strong understanding of Coax, Fiber, and ethernet cable splicing Proficient knowledge of RF test equipment, spectrum analyzers, or vector network analyzers (Keysight, Rhode &Schwartz)
• Experience/ Knowledge of industry specifications and standards SCTE, ANSI, IEEE
• Experience in CATV outside plant network design or HFC network architecture Experience with S-parameters or MER requirements, Amplifiers and/or line extenders egress leakage, RFI and channel noise

NICE TO HAVE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, or related field or equivalent work experience Knowledge of ISP (Inside Plant) is a bonus
